The cosmopolitan Algarve resort of Vilamoura attracts visitors all year round. On our Algarve trips you can relax on Praia de Falesia beach, overlooked by pine trees, or tee off on Vilamoura Old Course, one of Europe’s best golf courses. By night, head for the pretty marina and its bars and restaurants. Our other favourite resort for an Algarve break is Albufeira, a former fishing village with a picturesque cobbled Old Town (great shops!) and stunning sandy beaches.
The lovely Algarve has long been a popular choice with British visitors. Resorts with shops, restaurants and bars have developed all along the coast but just a short drive inland you will still find a leisurely way of life.
VILAMOURA The most cosmopolitan resort in the Algarve, Vilamoura boasts five golf courses, a stylish marina with many shops, bars and restaurants, and a casino. The sandy beach is close by and there is also tennis, riding and bowls.
Transfer time from Faro to Vilamoura: 30 mins approximately.
ALBUFEIRA The old fishing town of Albufeira still has lots of atmosphere, with its whitewashed walls and narrow, cobbled streets. In recent years, the resort has expanded and is now spread over several kilometres and offers a wide range of facilities and entertainment.
Transfer time from Faro to Albufeira: 50 mins approximately.
