DAY 1: UK - Amsterdam.

Take the Eurostar to Brussels and continue to Amsterdam by train. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your ship, MS Mona Lisa, for embarkation. This evening, join the optional riverboat tour to admire the sights of Amsterdam at night. (D)

DAY 2: Amsterdam - Oude Wetering.

After breakfast, enjoy an optional tour of Amsterdam to get a closer look at the 'Venice of the North'. Admire its impressive network of canals, bridges and merchant houses with much of the architectural masterpieces dating from the 17th century. After lunch, we set sail for Oude Wetering, passing through an abundance of picture postcard scenery along the way. You may wish to explore Oude Wettering at your leisure before enjoying dinner back on board your ship this evening. (B, L, D)

DAY 3: Oude Wetering - Gouda.

Today, join the optional excursion to Keukenhof Gardens to admire the wonderful display of bulb flowers including tulips, narcissi and daffodils. This afternoon, we continue cruising to Gouda, which lies at the confluence of the Ijssel and Gouwe. Formally known for its drapers and busy harbour, Gouda is more recently renowned for its round, yellow cheeses. (B, L, D)

DAY 4: Gouda - Rotterdam.

This morning, relax on on board your ship as we cruise towards Rotterdam. Often called a 'miracle' for rising from the ashes of devastating World War II bombing, modern Rotterdam is now Europe's busiest port and boasts picturesque quaysides and striking contemporary architecture. The optional tour that will be available will prove a great introduction to this interesting city. Back on board your ship, enjoy dinner and a Gala evening. (B, L, D)

DAY 5: Rotterdam - Amsterdam - UK.

Spend the morning cruising up the River Lech, through the lock in Tiel, to join the canal to Amsterdam. After lunch, disembark your ship and transfer to the station for your return train journey back to the UK, via Brussels. (B, L)

Dining

Your cruise includes full board. The dining room is large enough to accommodate all passengers in one sitting. Breakfasts are buffet style, while lunch and dinner have set menus, usually including a choice of regional specialities and traditional favourites. There is an evening programme of entertainment and a welcome cocktail on the first night.

Cabins

All cabins are outside cabins and have twin or double beds; air-conditioning/climate control; satellite TV; radio; hairdryer; safety deposit box; shower and wc. Your holiday price includes a main deck cabin or you may choose to upgrade.
