Fly to Toronto where you will transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Leave bustling Toronto and travel along the shores of Lake Ontario to Niagara Falls. Sightseeing in Niagara Falls includes a sightseeing cruise past the world-famous falls. Later, visit picturesque Niagara-on-the-Lake, where there is time to browse the shops of Main Street. Return to Toronto and spend the evening exploring the city sights independently, including Harbour front, Ontario Place and Chinatown.
On today's sightseeing see Toronto City Hall, the downtown banking district, Roger's Centre and the stunning CN Tower, more than a third of a mile high. This evening why not join the optional outing that combines dinner with the spectacular sight of Toronto's lights from the CN Tower? Afterwards, transfer to Union Station for a late-evening departure on THE CANADIAN, VIA Rail's premier transcontinental train. Spend the next three days and nights on this classic trip across Canada's heartland. Accommodation is in first-class rail cars that are refurbished art-deco cars from the 1950's. Domed observation cars, let you enjoy views of the Canadian countryside as you roll past Ontario’s landscapes. All meals are included, and you won't want to miss any of them, as the chef offers a tempting array of soups, salads, main courses, and desserts.

Enjoy an early breakfast as you continue on the 'Canadian' into the very heart of the Canadian Rockies. Arrive at the beautiful mountain resort of Jasper early in the afternoon. End the day with a short tour to experience its unspoiled beauty, with the rest of the evening free. Includes Breakfast
Begin the day with an optional excursion to Maligne Lake, and a narrated cruise. On the return journey, stop to view Maligne Canyon. With free time this evening you might take a hike and watch for elk.
Today, travel through Jasper National Park, stopping along the way at the Columbia Icefield for an exciting Ice Explorer ride on the 1200-feet thick Athabasca Glacier. Then continue down the Icefield Parkway to the lively mountain resort of Banff for two nights.
For a spectacular start to the day, why not take the optional helicopter ride high over the Canadian Rockies? In the afternoon join our optional excursion to Sulphur Mountain for a thrilling gondola ride, and a stop at sparkling Bow Falls. The evening is free.
Travel to Lake Louise, its azure blue waters mirroring the surrounding mountains and glaciers, before proceeding over Kicking Horse Pass on the Continental Divide. Travel through Yoho National Park, where Precambrian fossils were discovered, and Glacier National Park, where recreational mountain climbing was introduced to North America a century ago. Late this afternoon arrive at the cattle ranching centre of Kamloops.
Travel through British Columbia's Coast Mountain Range to its majestic Pacific coastline, the vegetation changes from desert landscape to lush alpine forests. Board the afternoon ferry for the spectacular crossing to Vancouver Island. Sightseeing in Victoria includes the Inner Harbour, Bastion Square, Thunderbird Park and world famous Butchart Gardens. This evening, consider a stroll along the lively Waterfront Promenade.
Be sure to discover some of the attractions this splendid city has to offer, including the Royal British Columbia Museum, afternoon tea at the Empress Hotel, a whale watching cruise on the Strait of Juan de Fuca and fine shopping along Government Street. This evening, why not join an optional excursion in Chinatown, complete with colourful lanterns and dinner at an authentic restaurant?
This morning, set sail across the Strait of Georgia and through the spectacular Gulf Islands, an archipelago known for its mild, almost Mediterranean climate. In Vancouver, city sightseeing includes Stanley Park, Gastown, Chinatown and many other famous landmarks. The remainder of the day is free to explore and experience British Columbia's premier shopping and entertainment location on Robson Street.
With a full day at leisure, perhaps join an optional excursion to the world famous Whistler resort and Shannon Falls or a short trip to the Capilano Suspension Bridge - 230 feet above the river.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the UK, or extend your stay in Vancouver, Hawaii or on an Alaska cruise.

Travel in style aboard the 'Canadian' in 'Sleeper Plus' class service. Overnight accommodation is in a private cabin (includes toilet facilities) which converts from seating to upper and lower berths. Showers are available at the end of each carriage. All meals are included. An overnight bag will be required as luggage will be unavailable for the rail journey.

An excellent, thoroughly enjoyable holiday which was everything it was advertised to be. Organisation was great every step of the way. Good value for money. I would definitely reccomend Cosmos and this particular holiday.
