Your Itinerary
DAY 1: UK - Pisa - Montecatini.
Fly to Pisa where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Montecatini Terme. The rest of the day is free for you to get acquainted with this charming resort. (D)
DAY 2: Montecatini.
This morning enjoy an introductory walking tour of the delightful spa town of Montecatini Terme, exploring the streets with its many elegant shops, stylish cafés and relaxing public park. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the town and old village of Montecatini Alto, connected by a funicular, at your own pace. (B, D)
DAY 3: Florence.
The Tuscan capital simply overflows with wonderful Renaissance art and architecture. Traffic is partly banned in the city making it easy to wander at leisure and admire its timeless beauty. Your full day excursion includes a guided tour taking in the sightseeing highlights, such as Piazza Santa Croce, the Palazzo Vecchio and the Duomo. (B, D)
DAY 4: Lucca and Pisa.
After a morning at leisure, enjoy your half day excursion to historic Lucca, famous for its magnificent churches and medieval fortifications, and as the former home of composers Boccherini and Puccini. The excursion also includes a visit to Pisa dominated by the 'Square of Miracles', and one of Italy's most iconic structures, the 'Leaning Tower'. In the evening why not enjoy some typical local cuisine at our optional Tuscan dinner? (B)
DAY 5: Montecatini. At leisure.
The day is yours to relax. Alternatively, why not join our optional excursion? First we visit the exquisitely beautiful city of Siena, with its well preserved medieval and gothic streets converging at the grand Piazza del Campo. Then we head to the town of San Gimignano, characterised by its distinctive towers and set atop a hill affording panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside. (B, D)
DAY 6: Tuscan countryside & Chianti tasting.
Today's excursion gives you a chance to experience the beauty of the Tuscan countryside and the Chianti valley, as well as visit a vineyard and taste some of the region's rich red wine. (B, D)
DAY 7: Montecatini. At leisure.
Perhaps spend the day exploring Montecatini further or simply relax amongst the lovely surroundings. Alternatively, enjoy our optional excursion to Vinci, the former home town of Leonardo da Vinci. (B, D)
DAY 8: Montecatini - Pisa - UK.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the UK, or extend your stay on the Tuscan Riviera. (B)

To help you plan and make the most of your holiday, below is a list of optional excursions available to you.
THE DOLOMITES
Have the opportunity to admire a UNESCO natural world heritage site with its particular geological, botanical and scenic qualities. Leave the cosy Lake Garda shore to see a unique scenario. Going direction Bolzano, the capital of the region Alto Adige (Süd Tirol), we will reach Trento, the capital of the region Trentino, a town with a noble yet august appearance, on a bend in the river Adige. Continue this nature journey to Ortisei, a tiny famous village in one of the Dolomites valleys for a stop. On the way back, see the impressive and the grandiosen mountains surround some villages located on the sunny side of the mountains.

MAGIC OF VERONA
First drive by the 16th century Venetian Gates to the Old Castle and the bridge: then to the first century Gavi Arch and the Roman City Gate. Continuing along the river you reach the Roman Stone Bridge and the impressive Roman theater. The walking tour takes in Romeo's house, the Scala Cemetery Signori and Piazza delle Erbe and Juliet's house, ending in Piazza Bra with its famous Roman Amphitheater. Time permitting drive to the top of the hills for a panoramic view of the ancient town.

LUNCH ON MONTE TAMARO
After your orientation tour of Lugano, take a 20 minute cable car ride to the Tamaro viewing point. Then a visit of the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli. Enjoy lunch in the mountain-top restaurant, complete with a glass of wine and coffee.

THREE ISLANDS CRUISE
Depart from Baveno to see Isola Madre, the largest of the Borromeo Islands and the most characteristic one due to its enchanted atmosphere. Then move to Isola Bella (Beautiful), so called for its monumental Baroque palace and its majestic and scenic gardens, with their series of ornate and overlapping terraces. Join the last island, the Isola dei Pescatori so named for the main activity which over the centuries has characterized the fishermen town with its unique skyline. The island is also called Superiore due to its Northern position in comparison with the other two" sisters" islands. Time for a optional lunch to taste a typical lake fish dish.

DINNER ON PESCATORI ISLAND
Enjoy a three course dinner, including drinks, on the picturesque island of Lake Maggiore. Dinner will be served on the big terrace which stretches out to the lake and ends with a small terrace surrounded by an abundance of colorful and sweet-smelling flowers. On cool evenings dinner will be served in the hall of which the big old fireplace is a feature. The setting is a mixture of antique and modern. Fish and age-old recipes are the specialties of this former inn, one of the oldest on th island.
