DAY 1: UK - Brussels.

Join your tour by travelling on our free coach service from London for your Channel crossing to the Continent, where you will be met by your tour director and transferred to Brussels for one night. Alternatively travel direct to Brussels on Eurostar for a one night stay.

DAY 2: Brussels - Rhine cruise - Würzburg.

Today, journey into Germany and to the shores of the mighty Rhine for an afternoon's scenic river cruise past medieval hilltop castles, charming villages, terraced vineyards and the Lorelei Rock. Later, continue to Würzburg, set on the banks of the Main River and famed for its baroque architecture, for one night. (B, D)

DAY 3: Würzburg - Nuremberg - Prague.

Start today with a short visit to the historic city of Nuremberg, restored to its original glory after World War II and home to Gothic churches, ancient medieval ramparts and elegant patrician houses. Later, continue by way of Pilsen, famed for its beer production, to the Czech capital Prague, for one night. (B)

DAY 4: Prague - Vienna.

Tour Prague with a local guide on an included city sightseeing trip this morning, taking in highlights such as the National Theatre, old town hall and Astronomical Clock. This afternoon journey through the heart of Bohemia to Moravia and continue across the border into Austria for two nights in its splendid capital, Vienna. (B)

DAY 5: Vienna.

Enjoy the charm and elegance of cosmopolitan Vienna today. Start with an included city sightseeing tour with a local guide and view the State Opera, Hofburg, Parliament, and Town Hall before admiring the spectacular interior of St Stephen's Cathedral. This afternoon, why not join the optional trip to Schönbrunn Palace? (B)

DAY 6: Vienna - Lake Wörth - Venice area.

Admire breathtaking scenery as you journey across Austria to Velden, set on beautiful Lake Wörth, for a short visit. Later, continue across the border into Italy and to the Venice area for two nights. (B)

DAY 7: Venice area.

Set like a jewel in its own lagoon, Venice has a dreamlike quality. Enjoy the included canal boat ride followed by a short orientation of this fascinating city and a chance to watch Venetian glass blowers fashion their delicate objects just as they did centuries ago. (B, D)

DAY 8: Venice area - Assisi - Rome.

Start early today and drive across the Po Delta to the Apennines, an area dotted with villages perched high on steep mountain sides. Continue to Assisi, the birthplace of the mystical St Francis, where you can marvel at the magnificent Basilica before heading to Rome for two nights. This evening join the optional Rome by night excursion. (B)

DAY 9: Rome.

The 'Eternal City', Rome is a city steeped in history, vibrantly alive and absolutely unique. Today's included sightseeing trip with a local guide starts in St Peter's Square, followed by a visit to the Roman Forum and the mighty Colosseum. (B)

DAY 10: Rome - Florence area.

This morning enjoy an optional visit to the Vatican Museum before heading through the Tuscan countryside to the beautiful Renaissance city of Florence. Late this afternoon, enjoy an included guided walking tour of the city's highlights. Overnight in the Florence area. (B, D)

DAY 11: Florence - Lugano - Lake Lucerne.

Journey into Switzerland and head to picturesque Lake Lugano, an area bordered by misty mountains and old towns. After time to admire the town centre of Lugano, continue amidst glorious alpine scenery to the shores of lovely Lake Lucerne for two nights in the area. (B, D)

DAY 12: Lake Lucerne.

Explore Lucerne this morning. Visit the covered wooden bridge and Lion Monument - a masterful stone sculpture in honour of the heroic Swiss guard of Louis XVI. Don't miss an optional cable car ride to the summit of Mount Titlis for spectacular views of the Alps. (B)

DAY 13: Lake Lucerne - Paris.

Journey through the Swiss canton of Aargau, an area laden with woodland lakes, rich green pastures and picturesque chalets of rustic timbering and luxuriant flowers, before reaching France. Drive amidst some of France's most famous vineyards to Paris for two nights, arriving in time to enjoy an optional cabaret show. (B)

DAY 14: Paris.

Spend a full day in this magnificent city - renowned throughout the world for its fashion, art, museums, and delicious food. Today's included sightseeing trip with a local guide takes in many of the best-known Parisian sights: La Sorbonne, Boulevard St Germain and the Eiffel Tower to name just a few. (B)

DAY 15: Paris - UK.

Say farewell to Paris and head to the Channel port where your tour ends. After a short Channel crossing, join your coach service to London. Alternatively travel back to the station to join the Eurostar service to the UK. (B)

EVENING CITY SIGHTSEEING

See the main sights of this city which has something for all tastes and interests. Visit the beautiful Grand Place with its 17th century guild houses. End the evening with a visit to a typical Brussels historical café to enjoy a glass of old fashioned Belgian beer.

THE TITLIS ICE FLYER

An extension to the Mount Titlis excursion, the Ice Flyer is a chair lift, specially equipped to protect from wind, snow and rain. The 2,460 foot journey lasts six minutes and you can enjoy an absolutely unique and unforgettable ride just a few feet above the Titlis Glacier.
